The challenge is to:

• Develop and implement merchandise, buying, and pricing strategies for assigned categories to boost penetration, drive sales and margin growth, strengthen competitive positioning, and seize market opportunities.
• Execute and assess merchandising initiatives and category plans aligned with customer interests and preferences.
• Maintain optimal stock levels through effective promotion planning and inventory management.
• Source products locally and internationally with a strong understanding of market trends and consumer demand. 
• Preparing and communicating the promotion schedules to the Commercial team and internal stakeholders. 
• Utilize analytics tools to provide a timely review of all promotional effectiveness, provide recommendations and action plans for improvement.
• Establish and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with vendors to support sustainable business growth. Connect to new suppliers for new partnership opportunities, shape decisions about products, pricing, and promotional strategies.

Do you have experience in Merchandising or Buying?

• University graduate or tertiary education  
• 3 -5 years retail merchandising experience  
• Knowledge of category management
• Analytical, creative, customer-focused, open to change, well planned and self-motivated
• Strong negotiation, project management and relationship-building skills
• Good communication skills and good command of English and Chinese
