The challenge is to:
- Lead requirement discovery with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels; facilitate workshops to define problem statements, scope, success metrics, and priorities
- Produce high-quality deliverables including BRD (Business Requirement Document), user stories, process flows, data mapping, functional specifications, and benefits/cost justification
- Partner with system owners, architects, developers, and vendors to translate business needs into solution options; assess impacts, dependencies, risks, and recommend the best approach
- Define test strategy and QA approach; prepare test scenarios/data, coordinate SIT/UAT, manage defect triage, and ensure fit-for-purpose delivery
- Drive change management: user communication, training materials, UAT sign-off, cutover planning, and post-implementation support/continuous improvement
- Establish trusted relationships with business and technology teams; proactively manage expectations, negotiate scope, and resolve conflicts or ambiguity
- Own end-to-end delivery for medium to large initiatives (or multiple enhancements) across SDLC/Agile; govern requirements, traceability, acceptance criteria, and sign-offs
- Promote BA best practices and standards; mentor junior analysts and review deliverables to ensure clarity, completeness, and consistency
Do you have experience in business analysis?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related discipline
- 6+ years of Business Analyst / System Analyst experience, preferably in retail, eCommerce, supply chain, CRM/loyalty, or POS-related domains
- Strong analytical and structured thinking with attention to detail; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience in requirements elicitation techniques and BA artefacts (e.g., user stories, BPMN/process mapping, data mapping, wireframes, acceptance criteria)
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience presenting to management and driving alignment on scope, priorities, and trade-offs
- Strong vendor management skills, including experience working with external system integrators/SaaS providers; able to manage deliverables, timelines, SLAs, and issue escalation
- Strong knowledge of product QA and testing practices, including unit testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing; able to define test scenarios/acceptance criteria, support defect triage, and ensure quality delivery
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese; able to translate complex concepts for both business and technical audiences
- Good understanding of SDLC/Agile delivery and testing practices; experience supporting SIT/UAT and defect triage is a plus
- Experience with common BA tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence) and data analysis (e.g., SQL/Excel/BI) is an advantage
- Hands-on experience as a citizen developer to build workflow automation / low-code apps (e.g., Microsoft Power Apps / Power Platform, ServiceNow) is an advantage
