The challenge is to:
- Strategic Communications and Advisory: Partner with senior communications leaders to deliver group-wide communication strategies, providing trusted counsel and translating complex business, policy and regulatory issues into clear, impactful messages, while staying informed of industry trends, government policies and legislative developments.
- Media and Public Communications: Manage external communications end-to-end, including media enquiries and public statements, while building strong media relationships and ensuring accurate, consistent, disciplined messaging.
- Issues and Crisis Communications: Lead issues and crisis communications by monitoring sentiment, identifying reputational risks, and managing sensitive media and stakeholder enquiries with speed, professionalism and sound judgement.
- Corporate Publications: Manage and support the development of key corporate publications, including the Annual Report and Sustainability Report, ensuring accuracy, consistency and effective stakeholder storytelling.
- ESG, Sustainability & Community Communications: Support and deliver Sustainability and ESG communications by engaging external partners, and ensuring credible, aligned Sustainability narratives across channels
- Cross Functional Collaboration & Project Management: Work closely with Legal, Marketing, Sustainability to deliver coordinated communications and manage multiple projects concurrently with strong ownership, accountability and attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
Do you have experience in corporate communications / public relations / media / public affair?
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or media — ideally with a mix of consultancy and in house exposure or in complex, multi stakeholder organisations.
- Demonstrated experience managing issues or crisis communications with sound risk assessment and strong media handling skills.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling ability, able to craft clear, persuasive messages across platforms and audiences.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, able to balance strategic perspective with hands on delivery.
- Professional maturity and strong interpersonal influence — a collaborator who builds trust and navigates across seniority levels.
- High adaptability and resilience; proactive in identifying opportunities and solutions in a fast-changing communications landscape.
- Familiarity with digital communication and measurement tools is an advantage.
