The challenge is to:
Data, AI, Automation Strategy:
- Define a comprehensive data platform strategy for our multi-market, multi-format organization with scale, cost, and business value in mind
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data, AI and automation roadmap.
- Establish “Automation as a Service” and drive continuous improvement across functions, formats and markets.
- Establish and drive data and AI governance, and define a build / buy strategy with decisioning framework for future AI solutions
- Establish standards and governance for AI risk management, including security, privacy, compliance, and ethics.
- Drive regional and local business unit collaboration around value-driven data governance.
Technical Leadership:
- Architect scalable and Gen-AI ready data infrastructure, including the design and implementation of data solutions at enterprise scale.
- Lead the development and management of a Unified Data Platform (UDP) and build unified data model to scale
- Act as a key player in future master data management design
- Oversee the integration of modern data capabilities, ensuring scalability, repeatability, and security across multiple use cases.
- Guide the advancement of cloud infrastructure capabilities to support data and AI requirements.
- Deliver Gen-AI data solutions to replace traditional report creation
Project Management and Delivery:
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact data projects across business functions.
- Manage an annual pipeline of AI and data initiatives, working cross-functionally with various departments.
- Establish implementation processes, from inception to deployment and retraining.
- Conduct ongoing research and development, delivering experimental projects based on priorities defined by AI and data governance
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Build and lead high-performing teams of data engineers, automation engineers, data scientists, and DevOps professionals.
- Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities for team members.
- Collaborate with C-level executives, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to align AI and data initiatives with business goals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and data-driven decision-making.
Operational Excellence:
- Manage a data cost to revenue model with rigor
- Manage data budgets and vendor relationships
- Ensure adherence to global architecture standards, information risk management, and business continuity practices.
- Drive process improvements, change management and operational efficiencies through data and AI capabilities.
Do you have experience in Enterprise Technology and Data?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in enterprise technology, with at least 5 years in Data and AI/ML leadership roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in automation technologies, including but not limited to machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Strong background in data management, big data and analytics technologies, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale data projects with measurable business impact.
- Experience in setting up and managing offshore teams of data engineers, data architects, analytics specialists and DevOps professionals.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for AI model development and data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance in a global context.
- Good exposure to Gen-AI governance and experiments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in multinational, matrix organizations and appreciation for cultural sensitivities.
- Willingness to travel, primarily within Asia.
