Description & Requirements

We are seeking a strategic and operational leader of our newly formed MarTech Center of Excellence. This critical role owns the end-to-end MarTech landscape, driving transformation initiatives, optimizing platform performance, ensuring robust technical operations, and fostering innovation. You will bridge the gap between digital marketing strategy, technology capabilities, and operational excellence across a complex, hybrid SaaS/PaaS ecosystem spanning diverse regions. We need a futurist who sees beyond platforms to possibilities to lead the fusion of data, technology, and operational excellence to architect the marketing landscape of the future.

The challenge is to:
MarTech Transformation Leadership:

·       Spearhead a transformative multi-year MarTech roadmap aligned with format business strategy and digital business direction.

·       Redefine customer journeys through AI-powered hyper-personalization, real-time CDPs, and self-optimizing campaigns. 

·       Lead the evaluation, selection, integration, and deployment of new SaaS/PaaS solutions to enhance marketing capabilities.

·       Champion change management and deliver successful adoption of modern technologies and processes across region.

·       Build data-driven culture and implement measurement framework and KPI dashboards.

·       Lead innovation and pilot emerging tech, build proofs-of-concept, and scale successes.

 

Platform Excellence & Innovation

·       Serve as the primary owner for the core MarTech stack. 

·       Chair the MarTech Governance Council to prioritize investments, manage risks, and ensure strategic alignment.

·       Own and prioritize the platform backlog based on business needs, technical feasibility, and ROI.

·       Oversee the data flows, configuration, customization, and continuous improvement of MarTech platforms and analytics tools to optimize performance and user experience.

·       Manage relationships with key MarTech vendors (SaaS/PaaS providers), negotiate contracts, and ensure platform health and roadmap alignment.

 

Technical Operations & Support Management

·       Build and lead the Level 2/ Level 3 MarTech support function.

·       Develop and deliver robust support processes, SLAs, and knowledge bases.

·       Ensure platform availability, performance monitoring, proactive maintenance, and rapid incident resolution for the global MarTech ecosystem.

·       Oversee application security protocols, and compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) across geographical jurisdictions with support from Infosec and Legal.

·       Manage platform upgrades, patches, and environment management.

 

CoE Foundation & Team Leadership

·       Establish the MarTech CoE as the central hub for MarTech expertise, governance, and enablement.

·       Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of MarTech specialists.

·       Establish and enforce governance processes, best practices, and standards for platform usage.

·       Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the CoE and across partner teams.

·       Develop and deliver training programs to enhance MarTech proficiency across platform users.

 

Do you have experience in Technology Transformation?

·       10+ years in technology roles with 5+ years in MarTech, including product & platform management, solution design, business partnership, and people leadership roles.

·       Demonstrated experience on leading 3+ large-scale technology transformations with measurable revenue/efficiency gains.

·       Business Acumen: Mastery of marketing/sales funnels, P&L levers, and ROI modeling

·       Global Acumen: Demonstrated experience navigating the complexities of operating technology and marketing programs across diverse geographical jurisdictions.

·       Technical Expertise:

o   Deep, hands-on experience with leading MarTech platforms

o   Proven experience managing large-scale MarTech implementations, integrations, and transformations in a multi-geographic environment.

o   Strong understanding of SaaS and PaaS models, cloud infrastructure, and integration technologies.

o   Solid grasp of data architecture principles, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCP1A, etc.), and marketing analytics.

o   Extensive experience in establishing and managing technical support functions (L2/L3).

·       Leadership & Soft Skills

o   Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

o   Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed, regional organization.

o   Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills (technical & non-technical).

o   Strong project and program management expertise (Agile/Waterfall methodologies).

o   Vendor management and negotiation proficiency.

o   Change management champion with a focus on user adoption.
