The challenge is to:
- Be the business subject matter expert for all regulatory affairs and product regulatory compliance for Food (Pre-packaged, fresh, RTE and Counters) in DFI North Asia markets.
- Horizon scanning to anticipate upcoming regulatory shifts that may impact our business
- Support the Group and Local Banner functions in North Asia with regulatory guidance and review to consistently deliver quality, safety and legality to meet specification, labelling requirement and customers’ expectations
- Manage the Hong Kong Label Compliance team
- Liaise and coordinate with DFI Regulatory team in North and South East Asia to ensure consistent practices across the business.
- Capable of leading projects / strategically approaching regulatory shifts with business models and solution driven mindset.
- Ensure Label Compliance team approve products based on local regulations - Develop and implement the appropriate control mechanisms to manage labelling requirements for all local importations / indent / surrogate brands.
- Maintain local relationship with government to keep active track of potential changes in product regulations, liaise with government contacts for day to day interpretation of various regulations and guidelines
- Monitor the regulation trend on the markets and updating the internal stakeholder, and conduct risk assessments/analyses and anticipates possible business impacts.
- Proactively provide coaching and compliance training to internal stakeholders.
- Review all the product claim related marketing material to ensure full regulatory compliance for relevant North Asian markets.
Do you have experience in Product Technology & Regulatory Affairs?
- Degree in Science - preferably in Food Science and Technology
- Minimum 8 years of experience in regulatory affairs for Food Retail / Development / Manufacturing
- Proven history of the application of regulatory requirements/shifts into a plan of action
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English essential)
- Excellent organizational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability including ways of thinking
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate and collaborate across teams and levels with the ability to present coherently and succinctly
- Strong project management & leadership skills
- Fluent in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
