Is this your next challenge in ethical sourcing risk assessment? 

The challenge is to:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for packaging and Scope 3 related queries - both internal and external. 
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and suppliers throughout packaging development process and to provide consultation support. 
  • Run sustainability projects and programmes within DFI including driving improvements and collating reporting compliance data and scorecard. 
  • Provide expertise and guidance on Packaging Sustainability and Scope 3 emissions to Communication and Consumer Affairs, Marketing, Sourcing, Technical, Commercial teams, and suppliers. 
  • Proactively provides coaching to internal team members. and engage with key internal collaborators to understand customer expectations, commercial challenges/opportunities, and reputational risk. 
  • Conduct thorough research and engagement with external experts to understand the science behind sustainability challenges and initiatives. 
  • Horizon scanning for emerging risks. 
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.


Do you have experience in compliance and ethics in sourcing and packaging?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Packaging or Sustainability related field. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with packaging sustainability in a buying office is desirable. 
  • Extensive experience and hands-on knowledge of packaging technology, plastic sustainability, scope 3 emissions, sustainable sourcing, environmental and circular economy principles in relation to product supply chains with experience in Western markets and local markets such as ASEAN and China will be preferred. 
  • Proficiency in both written & spoken English. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Familiarity with industry norms, recycling standards and infrastructure, Consumer Goods Forum Golden Design Rules is an advantage. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines with pressure-resistance. 
  • Excellent organizational and prioritisation skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with flexibility and adaptability – with excellent project management and analytical skills. Problem solving, decision making, and negotiating skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be a great teammate, with the ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
