Description & Requirements

Is this your next challenge in Supply Chain? 

The challenge is to:  

  • Lead a team of Inventory officers / Assistant Manager to manage inventory planning and daily replenishment to DC based on forecast, promotion schedule and display requirement.
  • Analyze actual product demand, research demand drivers, seasonal demand, market situation, refine the forecast to reflect updated sales momentum, and adjust inventory plans for normal, festive, seasonal ranges accordingly.
  • Integrate the store replenishment cycle with the demand order cycle with upstream vendors. Refine store replenishment parameters to ensure the optimal level of stocks would push to stores to meet the customers’ demands.
  • To serve as the focal point for commercial, own brand and marketing leads, work collaboratively to ensure the smooth stock pipeline for new launch, packaging change, vendor change, marketing campaign, seasonal / planogram change timely, ensure high level of stocks availability in serving the needs of customers’ needs.
  • Drive new product launch planning process. Evaluate and optimize product’s minimum order quantity and replenishment lead time with Product Development and Commercial Team.
  • Coordinate with Commercial team to generate consent forecast on new range, seasonal and promotion items.
  • Prepare purchase plan and release orders to vendors to ensure products arrive at the right time to meet the demand.  Balance the inbound volume to ensure receiving capacity is used effectively and efficiently 
  • Ensure accurate and timely replenishment of overseas sourcing products. Closely monitor incoming shipping activities from overseas.
  • Define replenishment cycles & vendors order -delivery frequency base on items natures & shelf life, sourcing countries, order lead time, sell thru performance and suppliers’ service level. Work collaboratively with vendors to fine tune the right model to maintain a healthy achievement in terms of availability and stock turn days.
  • Monitor key supplier performance and meet them in periodic basis. Build strategical relationships with suppliers to manage forecasts and identify improvement opportunities on planning and stock availability.
  • Optimize inventory level at warehouse while maintaining high service level; identify root cause and resolve out-of-stock/excess stock situation. Identify stock transfer opportunities across Banners and evaluate air freight necessity to mitigate impact on availability.
  • Define the stock push and allocation strategy to ensure optimal level of inventory at different store profile to drive sales and maintain a healthy level of availability and inventory holding at stores.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis for management review; develop and implement actions plan with commercial and DC for any out of stocks and over stocks issues. Timely review and adjust actions to achieve KPI on service level, out of stock availability and inventory targets.
  • Establish strategy and best practices for team members to ensure achievement of overall business, availability and inventory objectives. Work with the senior management team to translate strategy into specific performance goals and departmental objectives.
  • Achieve company target and carry out other duties as required by the business.

Do you have experience in Demand & Planning? 

  • Degree holder, preferably in Supply Chain management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Demand Planning / Supply Planning / Inventory Planning, with at least 3 years in managerial level, preferably in Retail or FMCG
  • Detailed oriented and sensitive to figures, well organized and able to work independently
  • Strong leadership, analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills 
  • Self-motivated with positive attitude and mindset and willing to take challenges
  • Competent to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment which requires multi-tasking skills, flexibility and adaptability 
  • Strong Communication skill, fluent in Cantonese and English
  • Familiar with MS Excel and experience in Demand / Supply planning system is an advantage
  • Experience in Import / shipping / replenishment from overseas is an advantage

 Job Scopes: 

  • Handle 3000 to 4000 sku
  • Oversee a team of officers / Assistant Manager to manage daily replenishment routine
  • Interpret sales trends, seasonal shift, market dynamics and demand-pull from stores to plan forecast and inventory replenishment plans
  • Handle OOS and overstocks exceptions for the involved sku count
  • Achieve company targets
