WHY WE WILL LOVE YOU

  • You have bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is preferred
  • You have public accounting or retail/wholesale accounting experience is preferred
  • You have knowledge in IFRS, general and cost accounting operations
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • You are self-motivated, team-oriented, enthusiastic individual who works well under tight deadlines with strong organizational and time management skills
  • You have good command of English reading and writing
  • You have uncompromised integrity and stamina to identify process inefficiencies and get them improved
  • You have exposure to ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP or Hyperion or Navision is strongly preferred
  • You have strong enthusiasm and passion for the IKEA brand

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Focus on bookkeeping which includes Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Account Receivables, Sales, Account Payables and Fixed Assets
  • Responsible for daily sales reconciliation (invoicing, cash collection, sales vouchers)
  • Process co-workers' expense reimbursement, and prepare cash advances for co-workers
  • Maintain fixed assets registration, calculate the depreciation according to Dairy Farm policies, and manage stock counts
  • Responsible for month-end closing in an accurate and timely manner for group reporting
  • Perform month end variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, Dairy Farm accounting policy (group reporting), and local generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for the different territories (statutory reporting) as well as tax laws in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
  • Prepare audit schedules
  • Safeguard correct accounting entries, especially processing those submissions from non-accounting background stakeholders (stores, warehouse, other service office departments)
  • Safeguard good corporate governance by complying with approval authority limits and standard operating procedures to secure that roles and responsibilities are clear among all departments

To develop long-term business strategies that are aligned with both Diary Farm and IKEA's culture and values (such as new business and property opportunities), and drive sustainable profitability for IKEA North Asia. To be the custodian of corporate governance. To lead the development of relevant and user friendly business information standardized for all DF IKEA organisations. To secure the availability of relevant and accurate financial information and ensure statutory compliance. To lead treasury functions (including cash flow management, manage foreign exchange and interest rate risks).
