The challenge is to:
Operations Finance & Business Partnering
- Act as a finance business partner to Operations and Supply Chain teams, providing timely and relevant financial insights to support business decisions
- Monitor and analyse store operating costs, logistics costs, shrinkage, and other key operational KPIs
- Support cost optimisation initiatives and productivity improvement projects across stores and operations
- Partner with cross‑functional teams on operational initiatives, system changes, and process improvements
Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual budget, periodic forecasts, and long‑range planning processes for operations-related cost centers
- Deliver variance analysis against plan, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and clearly articulating underlying drivers to stakeholders
- Strengthen forward looking insights by linking operational assumptions with financial outcomes
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of operational financial assumptions and cost allocations
Financial Control & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely month‑end close for operations‑related accounts in line with Group reporting requirements
- Review and validate operating expenses, accruals, provisions, and cost allocations
- Support internal and external audit requirements and ensure adherence to internal controls and finance policies
Process Improvement & Systems
- Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
- Support finance transformation initiatives, automation, and system enhancement projects (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Tableau, AI tools)
Stakeholder & Team Support
- Collaborate closely with Business Stakeholders, Group Functions and Accounting Services
- Support ad‑hoc analysis, management reporting, and special projects as required
Do you have experience in finance business partnering?
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Qualified accountant (HKICPA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant finance experience, ideally within FMCG or retail
- Solid experience in operations finance, financial control, or management accounting is highly desirable
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Hands‑on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with large data sets and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage
- Sound understanding of internal controls, accounting standards, and finance governance
Personal Attributes
- Strong business partnering mindset with good stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently under tight timelines
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced retail environment with changing priorities
- Good command of English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage
