WHY WE WILL LOVE YOU
- You bring a minimum 8 years of experience in Sales or Operational Finance function.
- You hold a degree in Business/Finance/Economics or related field.
- You have proven team management experience in retail industry, ideally in a senior or leader position.
- You have a strong sense of curiosity and entrepreneurship, combined with excellent communication skills and business acumen.
- You can effectively influence and collaborate across a matrix organization.
- You possess an excellent command of financial and operational analytics.
- You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Together with commercial team, navigate towards growth and sustained profitability, identifying and evaluating commercial opportunities, maximising the return on investments and follow up on financial performance.
- Support and challenge the other functions on planning, implementation and follow up of activities and projects in line with Business Navigation (BN) principles.
- Lead the financial forecast and budget process according to the IKEA and DFI business cycle, with support and alignment from management group.
- Lead the Service Office (SO) BN team to work with SO functions and stores to follow up on sales, gross margin, opex, capex and profit performance and develop necessary actions.
- Offer sharp, timely and actionable insights to the management group for decision making. Translate complex financial figures or big data into plain language.
- Promote standardised reporting and secure competence in the organisation to allow for analysis and understanding of performance and facilitate optimal decision-making.
- Navigate towards more effective and cost-conscious ways of working, identifying cost potentials through benchmarking, striving for constant improvements, fostering a culture of cost discipline, and developing lean cost structure.
- Support the management group in steering the financial plans for strategic projects. Examples include expansions, lease renewal, supply chain setup, organizational structure and store footprint.
- Challenge and support the store BN functions in following up on store financial performance and drive financial health.
- Work with IKEA retail review landscape and be the owner of Financial Health topic to ensure effective execution of tasks and processes within BN and a business navigation mindset throughout the unit.
