The challenge is to:
News Monitoring and Issues Reporting
- Monitor and analyze news, social media and industry developments relating to DFI, our brands, markets and the wider retail sector.
- Support the preparation of regular monitoring reports and insights for internal stakeholders, highlighting potential risks, opportunities and emerging trends.
- Support early identification and escalation of reputational issues where required.
Media and External Communications
- Support media relations activities, including maintaining and updating media contact lists across key Asian markets.
- Coordinate and respond to day‑to‑day media enquiries in collaboration with senior team members.
- Assist in drafting and preparing media materials such as press releases, statements, Q&As, briefing documents and key message frameworks.
- Help coordinate media events and announcements related to corporate initiatives, brand campaigns, partnerships and ESG activities.
Content Creation and Internal Communications
- Develop clear, engaging written content for multiple channels, including press releases, internal newsletters, intranet, social media and the DFI corporate website.
- Support internal communications initiatives to keep our team members informed and engaged on business performance, strategic priorities and cultural initiatives.
- Contribute to the production and distribution of internal newsletters and other regular updates.
- Ensure all content is accurate, on‑brand, aligned with DFI’s tone of voice, and tailored to relevant audiences (corporate, brands, markets, frontline team members).
Website and Digital Channel Management
- Support the maintenance and regular updating of the DFI corporate website to ensure information is current, accurate and relevant.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to source, draft and refresh content (e.g. news, leadership profiles, ESG content, corporate policies).
- Assist with basic analytics reporting (e.g. page traffic and engagement) to inform ongoing content improvements where appropriate.
Corporate Reporting and ESG Communications Support
- Assist in the coordination and project management of key Group publications, including the Annual Report and Sustainability / ESG Report.
- Liaise with internal contributors (e.g. Finance, Sustainability, HR, Brands) and external partners (e.g. agencies, designers, printers, consultants) to support timely and high‑quality delivery.
- Help ensure consistency of messaging, data and narratives across corporate reporting, website and other communications channels.
Events and Employee Engagement Activities
- Support the planning and execution of internal engagement initiatives and events, such as town halls, leadership briefings, internal campaigns, and recognition or culture programmes.
- Assist with event logistics, content preparation (e.g. presentation materials, talking points, internal videos) and post‑event communications.
- Help drive awareness and understanding of DFI’s purpose, values and strategic priorities among team members.
Brand and Messaging Alignment
- Help safeguard and enhance DFI’s corporate brand by ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across corporate communications materials.
- Work closely with Group and brand teams to promote adherence to brand and communications guidelines across markets and channels.
- Support alignment between corporate positioning and brand‑level communications where relevant.
Do you have experience in corporate communications / public relations / media / public affair?
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, media, or public affairs. Experience in a listed company, multinational, agency, or in‑house communications function is an advantage.
- Fresh graduate is also welcome.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences across the region.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced, dynamic retail environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with social media platforms and digital content best practices. Experience with basic content management systems is an advantage.
- A collaborative team player who is comfortable working across functions, brands and markets, and with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail‑oriented with a creative mindset, strong sense of ownership and a hands‑on approach to delivery.
- Flexible, adaptable and responsive to evolving business needs and priorities.
