The challenge is to:
- Lead a team of inventory officers to review the consent demand forecast to support business promotions and plans. Manage inventory planning and daily replenishment to online platform, stores and DC based on forecast, promotion schedule and display requirement.
- Analyze actual product demand, research demand drivers, seasonal demand, market situation, refine the forecast to reflect updated sales momentum, and adjust inventory plans for normal, festive, seasonal ranges accordingly.
- Drive new product launch planning process. Evaluate and optimize product’s minimum order quantity and replenishment lead time with Product Development and Commercial Team.
- Coordinate with Commercial team to ensure sales forecast accuracy and align on new range, seasonal and promotion forecast.
- Collaborate with cross departmental teams to drive and deliver new business initiatives, new product and marketing campaign, etc.
- Prepare purchase plan and release orders to vendors to ensure products arrive at the right time to meet the demand. Balance the inbound volume to ensure receiving capacity is used effectively and efficiently
- Ensure accurate and timely replenishment of overseas sourcing products. Closely monitor incoming shipping activities from overseas.
- Monitor key supplier performance and meet them in periodic basis. Build strategical relationships with suppliers to manage forecasts and identify improvement opportunities on planning and stock availability.
- Optimize inventory level at warehouse & fulfilment centres while maintaining high service level; identify root cause and resolve out-of-stock/excess stock situation. Identify stock transfer opportunities across Banners and evaluate air freight necessity to mitigate impact on availability
- Define the stock push and allocation strategy to ensure optimal level of inventory at different store profile include off line and online to drive sales and maintain a healthy level of availability inventory holding at stores & different sales channels.
- Prepare regular reports and analysis for management review; develop and implement actions plan with commercial and DC for any out of stocks and over stocks issues. Timely review and adjust actions to achieve KPI on service level, out of stock availability and inventory targets.
- Establish strategy and best practices for team members to ensure achievement of overall business, availability and inventory objectives. Work with the senior management team to translate strategy into specific performance goals and departmental objectives.
- Achieve company target and carry out other duties as required by the business.
- Provide coaching and people development to the Team
- Manage and deliver project as per assigned.
Do you have experience in Demand and Supply Planning?
- Degree holder, preferably in Supply Chain management or relevant discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Demand Planning / Supply Planning / Inventory Planning, with at least 2 years in managerial level, preferably in Retail or FMCG. Candidate with retail & consumer products of beauty care industry would have an advantage.
- Detailed oriented and sensitive to figures, well organized and able to work independently
- Strong leadership, analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with positive attitude and mindset and willing to take challenges.
- Competent to work in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment which requires multi-tasking skills, flexibility and adaptability
- Able to lead the team in implementing concepts into actions that deliver business results
- Strong Communication skill, fluent in Cantonese and English
- Familiar and experience in implementing and using Demand & Forecast planning system is an advantage
- Experience in Import / shipping / replenishment from overseas is an advantage
