- You have at least 5 years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- You have proven experience in successfully combining both process and results orientation
- You have experience in creating and implementing mid-term plans, setting budgets, and following up on goals
- You have a good understanding of P&L accounts
- You are self-reliant and motivated, with a proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- You are able to identify the need for change and drive improvements within the unit
- You have effective communication and relationship management experience
- You can communicate confidently and clearly in both spoken and written English
- You have strong facilitation skills
- You have team management experience within the catering industry
- You are a thoughtful decision-maker with the ability to influence management colleagues
WHAT WILL BE DOING IN DAY TO DAY
- Act as a passionate leader who can bring business and people together and act as a good example of the IKEA culture and values
- Prepare the IKEA store business plan and contribute the country business plan with reference to country and store priorities and IKEA Food Direction & Strategy. Implement and follow up on the Food action plan regularly
- Use commercial review, Food Safety Audit, ICSS, Brand Capital, P&L and other tools to maximise commerciality, increase conversion rate and average ticket to achieve sales growth and profitability goals in the duty area
- Responsible to customer satisfaction by observing, listening and working with customer feedback and surveys to improve customer experience and develop the Food team with customer focus and show IKEA values
- Formulate and secure function succession planning and develop potential staff to take up leadership role
- Develop the co-workers competence by preparing and implementing functional training plan on understanding the IKEA concept, Hygiene standard, health and safety working environment in accordance to local legal requirements and IKEA standard
- Lead and work on operational excellency to improve efficiency and productivity
- Work with the Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) department and support all marketing and in-store activities with relevant Swedish celebrations and store’s Commercial Calendar
- Operate IKEA Food in accordance with legislation, fulfill the IKEA Quality and Food Safety requirements and promote a “safety first” culture where co-workers are encouraged to raise and discuss concerns and solutions
- Take an active role in store management team by utilising the competence of the co-workers in other parts of the store as well as other IKEA stores in the country
