ROLE PURPOSE
Reporting to the Head of Operations, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Head of Finance, the role works closely with the Finance team. The role partners with the Operations and Finance teams to provide timely, accurate, and actionable business insights that drive store performance across the network. The incumbent will monitor financial and operational trends, identify risks and opportunities, and collaborate with key stakeholders to support decision-making, improve productivity, and optimise sales, labour, and cost performance at the store level.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Financial performance reporting on weekly basis, in a lateral format by store
- sales vs LY / latest momentum
- basket value vs LY / latest momentum
- item per basket vs LY / latest momentum
- customer count vs LY / latest momentum
- weekday / weekend sales ratio
- work with Area Managers to develop corrective action plans
- Call out store abnormality on weekly / monthly basis
- abrupt sales fluctuation
- significant surge in shrinkage
- abnormal customer count drop
- sudden surge in basket value
- Budgeting, forecasting & rolling projections
- work with Finance on full year budget / latest forecast by store
- work with Operations Manager on next month forecast by store
- work with Property to forecast sales on new / post renovation stores

- work with Workforce Analyst to develop sales per labour hour deployed

REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Recognized Diploma or Degree qualification.
- At least 4–6 years of relevant experience in business analysis, FP&A, or commercial finance, preferably in a retail or multi-site environment.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with high proficiency in Excel and business intelligence tools.
- Good understanding of store-level P&L, labour productivity, and retail operations.
- Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for operational teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Finance, Operations, and Property teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Goal-oriented team player.
