The People Technology Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the optimization and implementation of specific SAP SuccessFactors modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Talent & Succession. Reporting to the People Technology Programme Manager, this role requires strong project management skills, business analysis capabilities, and close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners including SI and AMS teams. Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Manager position.

The challenge is to:
- Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP SuccessFactors modules - including Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Talent & Succession - ensuring alignment with evolving business requirements while maximizing platform capabilities and minimizing custom development.
- Manage the full project lifecycle for SAP SuccessFactors initiatives, encompassing planning, execution, go-live, and post-launch support, with a focus on delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Apply established project management methodologies and best practices to improve project efficiency and drive successful outcomes.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and detailed work plans aligned with milestones and business priorities.
- Collaborate closely with HR stakeholders to understand business challenges, gather detailed requirements, and translate them into clear functional and technical specifications for SI/ AMS teams to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of solutions.
- Conduct thorough gap analysis between existing SAP functionality & integrations and future business needs, collaborate with the functional and technical consultants to propose and promote optimal solutions and necessary customizations.
- Facilitate workshops and design sessions to map, analyze, and re-engineer HR processes for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness within the SAP SuccessFactors environment.
- Design, develop, and execute robust UAT plans to validate that solutions meet all business requirements and function as intended
- Ensure all system configurations, processes, integrations and data handling comply with applicable data privacy regulations and internal security standards.
Do you have experience in people technology project management?
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR technology project management or similar roles, with significant involvement in SAP SuccessFactors implementations or upgrades (Employee Central, Recruiting, Performance Management, Talent & Succession modules).
- Proven track record managing full project lifecycles, including planning, execution, deployment, and post-launch support for HRIS or related systems.
- Experience in working closely with System Integrators (SI) and Application Management Services (AMS) to deliver holistic solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors modules, system integrations, and data architecture principles.
- Good command of English, and Chinese.
- Skilled in translating business requirements into technical specifications and conducting gap analysis to recommend solutions.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with the ability to create detailed project schedules and work plans.
- Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution.
- Understanding of data privacy, security requirements, and compliance standards relevant to HR systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills to partner effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong facilitation skills to conduct workshops, gather requirements, and drive process improvements.
- Effective communication skills to report project status, manage risks, and escalate issues clearly to leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
