  • You have minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a management role and/or the People & Culture field
  • You have experience in supporting managers in resolving performance and other people management issues
  • You have experience as a coach and/or mentor
  • You have experience in organizing activities and training

  • You are a considered decision-maker with the ability to influence management colleagues
  • You have ability to create a win-win situation when handling conflict situations 
  • You are self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

  • You have ability to ensure integrity of HR systems, guidelines and documents
  • You have good analytical skill and numerical sense
  • You have a high level of confidentiality
  • You have proficiency in Microsoft office and Chinese Word Processing
  • You have ability to communicate confidently and clearly in spoken and written English and Chinese


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Act as a People & Culture Business Partner to the unit manager on all people topics
  • Secure that the values-based recruitment, selection and onboarding process are implemented
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives and process for retaining diverse talent
  • Together with the store management team, execute and monitor budgeted man hour plans which secures a diverse, appropriate staff structure and meets the defined business and productivity goals in the store
  • Assist Store People & Culture Manager to develop and implement people strategies and initiatives aligned with business strategy
  • Support the store management team to continuously develop leadership and business competence capabilities within their function according to business needs
  • Support the store management team in taking the lead with special focus on talents and high-performing potentials, contributing to country and regional initiatives
  • Be a good example of IKEA leadership in ways that express the IKEA values within and outside IKEA, and together with the unit managers help to safeguard and promote the IKEA Culture
  • Implement a co-worker relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the store work with the labor relations principles and uphold policies, procedures and laws
  • Work with Learning & Development team to schedule co-workers to attend internal and external learning events to meet requirements and the wider learning and development strategy


WORK PATTERN

  • 210 hours per month, mainly 9:30 am - 7:15 pm, shift rotation between Monday to Sunday
  • 6-7 days off per month + Public Holiday
  • Location: Tsuen Wan
